"We design, we decorate, we dig"
HOW DID WE BEGIN
In 1984 a group of women came together because of their shared interest in all things garden-related, from floral arranging to conservation of the unique, Cape Cod, environment. Inspired by the Nauset Indians, who have acted as stewards of the land for centuries, the group of women adopted the name “Nauset Garden Club.”
OUR MISSION TODAY
The Nauset Garden Club educates its members in floral and garden design, horticulture and conservation and inspires the people of our community to value and create sustainable landscapes and conserve our natural resources.
HOW WE ACHIEVE OUR MISSION
We hold high quality monthly programming, including monthly membership meetings from September to June, all designed to educate and engage our members. We also arrange and sponsor activities designed to engage and/or serve the public, often through collaboration with community partners.
HOW OUR ACTIVITIES KEEP US TOGETHER
Below are some program and event highlights from the past. But check back often: we’ll post information on upcoming events.

Our Outreach Programs and Event Highlights
LATHAM CENTER, BREWSTER
The Outreach committee plans four to five arts and crafts events each year. The special events provide enjoyable and creative activities and the children look forward to the “Garden Ladies coming to visit”.
Conservation and Environmental
ORLEANS VILLAGE GREEN
Recently, The Nauset Garden Club partnered with the Orleans Improvement Association and the Town of Orleans to clean-up the gardens that are part of the Orleans Village Green, adjacent to the Snow Library. Volunteers, along with Cheryl Esty from the Town of Orleans removed invasive plants, trimmed shrubs and weeded the beds.
The club has a “GO GREEN” program that awards grants to teachers on the Lower Cape to promote classroom learning on environmental issues. We have awarded thirty-two deserving programs over the last five years for Grants and Scholarships
